Campground Policies:
THE LANDING CAMPGROUND RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR GUESTS
THIS IS A PRIVATE RECREATIONAL FACILITY • 5MPH THROUGHOUT PARK
CAMPSITE/VEHICLES: A camper is defined as the trailer owner or owners that are 21 years of age or older. No one under 21 is to use the site alone. Campsite is designed for one unit only; a tent must have an office approved registration and is an additional $25.00/night with a two adult capacity. Placement of camper’s trailer on site is determined by the utility access. The Landing Campground’s property lines are clearly marked. There will be no trespassing on any of the surrounding neighboring properties or on other seasonal sites. Campers shall not use campsites for any illegal activity. No Littering- especially cigarette butts and candy wrappers. THERE IS NO GARBAGE PICKUP AT YOUR SITE. All garbage must be disposed of in the park dumpster, recycle bins are in the shed near the dumpster. Cars, trucks, motorcycles and motor homes are the only motorized vehicles allowed. All NYS vehicle and traffic laws are in effect on our roadways as on any other roadway. No mini-bikes, golf carts in the park. Only two vehicles are allowed at each RV campsite; one per tent or pop-up site. Overflow parking is available near the campground office. All vehicles must be registered. No washing of vehicles or campers. Campers must carry their own insurance. There are no refunds for shortstays i.e. if you leave early, your choice or management’s choice
FACILITIES: Swimming, camping and boating are at your own risk. Swimming rules are stated separately on the attached form. The park provides coin-operated laundry facilities and a Men’s and Women’s bathhouse. Canoe and paddle boat rentals are available. Make arrangements in the campground office. Firewood is available at the camp store. The DEC states that no wood outside of a 50 mile radius can be brought in. There is a park dumping station. Empty porta toilets in dumping station only, NOT in toilets. Disposable bag toilets are strictly PROHIBITED. PARENTS – YOUR CHILDREN ARE YOUR RESPONSIBILITY AT ALL TIMES! No one is permitted to use or carry axes, hatchets, knives, saws, air/BB guns etc. on the grounds. Adults must supervise their minor children. Minor children (under the age of21) are prohibited from occupying said campsite without their parent or legal guardian present. Minor children shall be restricted to campsite at 9 p.m. and prohibited off campsite after that time without the accompaniment of an adult 21 years or older. Parents must accompany children under 12 to restrooms for their own safety. The playground hours are 8 am to 8 pm. Children riding bikes MUST wear approved helmets.
BE A GOOD NEIGHBOR: No live or loud music, karaoke at any time. Quiet time hours are from 10 pm to 8 am AND ARE ENFORCED. No generators allowed, turn off car alarms. Small fires (under 2 ft) are allowed in the fire ring provided. For the safety of everyone at The Landing Campground, please put out your fire before you go to bed, and NEVER LEAVE YOUR FIRE UNATTENDED. Do not move fire rings. Barbecue grills are not allowed on the picnic tables. Do not use fire rings for trash. No soliciting on the grounds. Due to the fire threat, fireworks (including fire crackers) are prohibited. Stay off docks and boats that are not your own unless you have been invited: Do not handle,play with, feed, torture, kill or in any way bother the animals you see here on the grounds. ANYONE ENGAGING IN FIGHTING, VIOLENT OR THREATENING BEHAVIOR MUST LEAVE THE CAMPGROUND IMMEDIATELY AND WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO RETURN. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN.
GUESTS: There is a fee for guests. All guests and guest vehicles must be registered at the park office. No more than eight (8) guests are allowed at one time per campsite. All day visitors must be off the grounds by 9:30 pm. None of the camper’s guests may stay or visit the campground unless one adult (21 years old or older) family member on the original site agreement is present. NO VISITING PETS ARE ALLOWED,with the exception of service animals. No one should approach another camper’s pet without permission of the owner.
PETS: All pets must be registered at the campground office. Before the animal can be brought into the park, the office must have a current Rabies Vaccination Certificate on file. You must bring in a copy. No more than 2 pets are permitted and must be approved by management. Pets must be on a leash or in a secure carrier when not on a camper’s site. Never leave pets unattended. Dog runs or pens in camper’s campsites are prohibited. Small portable pens may be used for short periods and undersupervision. Be considerate when using long retractable leashes. No pets are allowed at the playground or the beach (this is a state law). All animal waste must be picked up immediately and placed in a closed garbage bag and disposed of in the park’s main dumpster or your own trash receptacle. Persons walking pets must be able to control their animals and maintain a 2 feet distance from any other animal. Pets are not to be brought onto other’s campsites unless invited and are not allowed in the office, restrooms or any other campground structures. Any pet that attacks and causes physical injury to another pet or person must be removed from the campground immediately.
